A Personal Message from Evangelist Jon T. Shonebarger, Jr.
Hello my friend, thank you for your visit to my ministry webpage!
I am a Fundamental, Independent Baptist Evangelist sent out through the authority of Midlands Bible Baptist Church, Bellevue, Nebraska. www.midlandsbbc.org
I have been in the gospel ministry since 1982 and the Lord has blessed me in serving in various ministries in that time period. From jail/prison evangelism, Colorado Department of Corrections chaplaincy, church planting to the pastorate, I have been on the frontlines of ministry, winning people to Christ, discipling converts and building the local New Testament Baptist Church. Drawing from those experiences with which God has entrusted me, I am eager to help pastor and churches reach their communities with the gospel.
I have a heart for church planting, reviving stagnate works, strengthening thriving churches and reaching American's inner cities. I am committed to the leadership of the church pastor and the authority of the New Testament Baptist Church. It is my burden to reach souls for Christ, stir the hearts of the believer and encourage the pastor. I commit myself to being a trusted friend and brother as we serve our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ together.
Please contact me about scheduling a revival or special conference. I am willing to come to a community of any size or need. It is my desire to be a vessel of Jesus Christ as I serve you.
Take a moment to read the different areas of my website, including my doctrinal statement. Your feedback is welcome.
I want to emphasize the following 10 areas of personal conviction:
- The historic heritage of Baptist Churches, from the days of Jesus Christ
- Local, visible New Testament Baptist Churches.
- The authority of the New Testament Baptist Church in reaching the world with the gospel.
- The inspiration/preservation of the Holy Scriptures, including the King James Version for English speaking people.
- Pastoral leadership rather than elder or board run congregations.
- Church Ordinances: Baptist Baptism and Closed Communion.
- Personal soul-winning.
- The necessity of repentance in salvation.
- A pre-Tribulation return of Jesus Christ for the believer.
- Biblical separation from the ecumenical and charismatic movement.
